 Power is finally back on at my house after almost 6 days. It went out around 10:30pm last Thursday, and came back 4:00pm Wednesday. This gave me a little over a day to get things in order (and heated) before leaving for Christmas vacation. Everything seems to have turned out fine. Other than smelling a bit musty, there are no leaking pipes, and no obvious damage. I took the day off work yesterday to get ready for my trip. It was sunny in the morning so I drove my Z for the first time in a couple of months.
I left for the airport around 10:00pm for an 11:57pm flight, which I already knew had been delayed until at least 1:00am due to weather in Chicago. It didn't leave the ground until around 2:10am, which means I missed my connection. United was nice enough to have already booked me on a later (but not too much later) flight which I am now waiting for. Am I a consumer whore for paying $6.95 to amuse myself for an hour and a half on airport wifi?
So, I guess all of this is to say, for those of you who read my blog and don't know already, I'll be home for Christmas. Sometime mid afternoon today, and leaving sometime on the 2nd of January. See you soon.
